Tools:
Mixer (ie. Electro-agitator with minimum power of 1400 watts)
Sprayer (ie. Wagner Power Tex Texture Sprayer or Texture Hopper Gun Graco)
Water
Preparation
1. Check for any damage to surface areas and repair as necessary.
2. Ensure all walls and/or surfaces are free from dust and debris.
3. Ensure all surfaces are dry and free from water.
4. Tape and/or cover any areas where you do not wish to apply corkpaint or plan to use a second color.
Notes:
◦ CORKPAINT can be applied in temperatures between 5°C and 40°C.
◦ If applying outside, it is best to apply on non-windy days.
◦ Personal protective equipment is recommended while working with this product.
Mixing
1. Shake/mix the cork spray for about 2 minutes to aerate and blend the material.
2. If using toner, shake the bottle vigorously and add the contents to the bucket of CORKPAINT.
3. Fill the empty toner bottle about 3⁄4 full with water. Mix this to get any remaining color and then add this to the bucket of cork spray.
4. Continue mixing the corkpaint. Be sure to stir in contents that stick to the sides and bottom of the bucket.
5. If needed, the empty toner bottle can be filled halfway with water and this can be added to the mixture. Be careful not to add too much water.
6. Mix together for about 2 – 3 minutes being sure the material is well blended.
Notes:
While the initial color of the cork spray is brown, almost any color can be made from this by mixing in the included toner and a water-based paint "base" color of your choice. Water-based "base" can be purchased from most home improvement stores. Select the paint base color of your choice, add it to the corkpaint, and mix well to achieve the hue you desire.
If you would like the corkpaint to be white, just add in the included toner.
You may also choose to leave the corkpaint in its natural color. In this case, no toner needs to be added. Water will still need to be added though to obtain the correct consistency.
Spray Application
1. Add the corkpaint to the sprayer.
2. Apply the first coat of corkpaint evenly and consistently over the entire surface.

Spray Application
1. Add the corkpaint to the sprayer.
2. Apply the first coat of corkpaint evenly and consistently over the entire surface.
Notes:
- 1. A 5mm nozzle is recommended.
- 2. A light sound is made during correct spraying. Cork spray should be applied softly and constantly to avoid it spraying too hard against the surface.
3. Spray between 40 and 50cm away from the surface being treated.
4. Apply in a circular, counterclockwise motion to ensure adequate and even coverage.
5. Allow to dry for 3 to 5 hours. Drying time will depend on surface medium, humidity and temperature.
*6. Apply the 2nd coat of cork spray. Take care to ensure even coverage as this is the last coat.
Notes:
*6. This is the outer, aesthetic layer so a lighter layer is recommended. To achieve this, the spraying distance can be increased to 60 to 70cm.
Recommendations:
1. Once the product is mixed and loaded in the hopper, work efficiently and continually. If stopping for longer than 3 to 4 minutes, the hopper will need to be emptied and the instrument will need to be immersed in water to keep the corkpaint from drying out and clogging the sprayer. The spray gun chamber will also need to be cleaned out.
2. For upright applications such as walls, protect the freshly sprayed surface from rain/water for at least two hours at 20°C. If cooler temperatures, the surface will need to be protected for longer.
3. For horizontal applications such as decks and walkways, protect the freshly sprayed surface from rain/water for at least 24 hours at 20°C. If cooler temperatures, the surface will need to be protected for longer.
Cleaning Up
1. Any unused material should be stored in the original container. 2. All tools and equipment can be washed with water.
